Werner
Heisenberg(1901-1976)

The German Physicist who made important contributions to nuclear physics.
He was founder of the theory of quantum mechanics-a means of describing
atomic structure in mathematical terms. He is well known for his uncertainty
principle, which states that events at the subatomic scale cannot be
measured with certainty. He was awarded a shared Nobel prize for physics in
1932.
