Louis Pasteur(1822-1895)
The French chemist and microbiologist. He isolated and eliminated two bacteria that caused diseases in silkworms. He produced an accurate explanation of fermentation. He showed that food could be made safe by pasteurization. He also developed life saving vaccines for treating anthrax and rabies.
