Herman Helmholtz (1821-1894)

 

             The German Physicist and Physiologist. In Physics, his theory regarding the conservation of energy was more precise than those previously stated. This was an important contribution in the development of thermodynamics. He invented the ophthalmoscope, an instrument for examining the inside of the eye. He also worked on the hearing anatomy and the nervous system.
