George Stephenson(1781-1848)
The English Inventor who invented the first locomotive to run on a rail track. In 1825 one of the locomotive made by him pulled passenger cars along the rails. In 1930 a railway service was opened between Liverpool and Manchester using railway engines built by Stephenson.
