Francis Crick(1916-)
An English Biologist noted for his discovery of the structure of DNA. Crick Studied physics at University College, London. In 1947 he gave up his post as scientist in the British admiralty, to study biology. His colleague was the American Biologist James Watson (1928). Together they discovered that DNA molecule is shaped like a double helix or spiral ladder. They shared the Nobel prize in 1962.
