Camillo Golgi(1844-1926)

 

            The Italian Biologist who studied medicine at the paira University. He discovered the Golgi apparatus, a structure found with in most living cells. He devised a method of staining tissue with silver salts. He must also be credited for having determined the three forms of the malaria causing parasite and the three types of fever. In 1906 he received the Nobel prize for his investigation of the structure of the nervous system.
