Alfred Bernhard Nobel(1833-1896)
A Swedish Engineer, inventor and industrialist. He had been working with nitroglycerin which was dangerous as it some times exploded in transit. Once he was carrying cans of Nitroglycerin in a box of kieselguhr (Soil of volcanic Origin), a leak has produced a solid mass of the mixture which turned out to be much less sensitive to shock. This mixture is dynamite discovered purely by chance.
